Start with the information the customer needs
A good invoice is not a dump of internal business information. It is a concise record of a transaction. The customer should be able to identify the supplier, understand what was supplied and see the amount due without searching through the page.
Useful fields for this situation
Depending on the transaction, useful information can include taxable value, applicable tax labels, tax amounts, supplier and customer details. InvoiceFlow's category-specific generator provides these fields while keeping the standard invoice sections available.
Check the calculation
Before sending, review each quantity and rate, then check discounts, taxable values, tax amounts, total, amount paid and balance. A professional-looking document is still a problem if the arithmetic is wrong.
Keep tax information accurate
Do not choose a tax type simply because it looks familiar. Verify the treatment applicable to the transaction.
Make payment instructions easy to follow
If you accept UPI, bank transfer or another method, provide only the details you actually want customers to use. If you include a QR code or UPI ID, test that it points to the intended payment destination before sending the invoice.
